Artist Statement

Matteo Melotto is an emerging Italian artist, designer, and performer graduated in Fashion Design at IAAD in Turin. His main works include the solo exhibition “Silence Over The Abyss” in 2019, followed by projects like “IANUA,”

“CYBERIA,” and “STEREOLITH.” In 2023, he presented his second solo exhibition “SAMANA”, in collaboration with Rick Owens, at Comodo64 in Turin and at MAD Festival in Switzerland, aswell as “YI’ZIRA” at MUD Foundation in

Miami. Melotto’s interdisciplinary works blend performance, video art, fashion design, and explore themes of neono-madism, posthumanism, and the intersection of technology and nature in the context of the search for an innovative form of spirituality.
