Artist statement

Rachel Stuckey is a multimedia artist interested in questioning and satirizing technology’s influences on human bodies, minds, and systems of belief. Technically, her work combines new media with analog media; aesthetically it hybridizes New Ageism with technophilia and pop culture. Her artistic practice is research-based; she investigates historical and contemporary feelings of enthusiasm, confusion, and mystical lore about computers and life online.

Stuckey creates performative videos, multi-sensory installations, and interactive environments which allow her to collect and work with personal stories about technology from her audiences.
