Biography

Poet, experimental musician. He studied Literature in Universidad de Chile and Field Recording Soundscape Composition in Goldsmith University of London. He has participated in creative writing workshops, poetry encounters, exhibitions and diverse artistic initiatives in South America, Europe and USA.

In 2005 he was awarded an Honourable Mention in the National Literary Competition “Santiago en 100 Palabras”. He was a coordinator in the national poetry encounter “Descentralización Poética Chile” between 2009-2011. In 2009 he published the poetry plaquette “El arca digital”, participated in “Antología en movimiento”, organized by Fundación Neruda and was invited to take part in the III Festival Internacional de Poesía “Cielo Abierto”, Perú. In 2012 he received a scholarship to participate in the Creative Writing Workshop in the National Library of Chile. In 2016 he co-founded the audiovisual poetry collective “Carton-A” in Santander, Spain, which published the anthology “Carton 01”. He also participated in the “3ª Surada Poética”, the “Festival Torrelavega Sound City” and was part of the organization for the poetry encounters “Refugio de Poetas I, II y III”. In 2020 he contributed to “Arde” (Acción Revolucionaria De Escritorxs), a collective book for a new constitution in Chile.

In 2020 he published “El borde exterior” (Lima, Paracaídas Editores) and launched his sonic project “Atmósferas Electrónicas”. In 2021 he was awarded an artistic commission for the Second Intercultural Cohort by Terranova Productions (Northern Ireland) to develop an audiovisual poetic work. That same year he participated in the collaborative album “Microtopies 2021: 78 miniatures de música i geografia”, and some of his sonic and audiovisual works were selected for Video Sound Archive (USA), Decamp Volume Sound Archive and Exhibition Series (Germany), Radio Caso Día Internacional del Dron (Argentina), Festival Sur Aural (Bolivia), Ruido/Noise Sound Art Gallery (USA), among others. In 2021 he was also translated and included in Anthropocene Poetry Journal (UK). In 2022 he was selected to present his audiovisual work “La memoria es un planeta lejano”, in the radio art exhibition “Audioblast#10” (France).
