Artistic Statement
Space in the context of the informal and a rebellious expressionism, sometimes figurative, I use brushes combined with random flows of color, collages and assemblies of different materials on paper, canvas or wood supports. Carrying out an in-depth research of materials, even if not involved in fine arts such as industrial enamels and paper napkins. I use various visual media for my studies including photography, painting, sculpture and installation to investigate the world of emotions.
I investigate flora and fauna, animals in nature, human and canine with the aim to represent the ferocity that distinguishes us. After years of studies and drawings of dogs, my first works on canvas was born, black and white with collage of papers and acrylic strokes, which is spray cast on the background executed in a free and contemporary style. Thanks to which, I received the award for freedom of expression Humanity in art in 2018 at the Umanitaria in Milan.
My aim is to share a journey through the violence of today’s life, between humanity and inhumanity, joy and despair, love and hate for a life that is increasingly difficult to face especially in metropolitan cities. At the same time, my abstract works on paper propose new solutions for living, bringing back an aesthetically pure way for an aesthetic theoretical approach to the theme. I combine my visual work with a parallel poetic production that develops the same themes. Since 2012 I have published four syllogs of poetry and three limited editions.
