LeeAnn Perry is a self-taught interdisciplinary artist working in writing, music, and video. She writes literary and speculative fiction, as well as genre- and form- bending fiction in the form of interactive games. In addition, she composes and produces experimental dark ambient music as XXU, and alongside singer Amy Braun releases darkwave electronic music as XXU & UXX. Using node-based visual programming, she creates abstract audio-synchronized visuals for live performance. She studied Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Washington University in St. Louis, and Neuroscience at Stanford University, and she brings this analytical lens, technical acumen, and appreciation for the natural world to her creative work.

My goal for this residency is to develop my voice in a truly interdisciplinary form of storytelling; I will experiment with different platforms and techniques to fuse my literary, musical, and visual practices, as well as exploring performative and interactive avenues of expression.
