Timothy is an American multidisciplinary artist, drummer, and writer whose work explores the intersections of sound, storytelling, and resilience. A U.S. Air Force veteran with a background in counter terrorism, Timothy brings a unique perspective to his creative practice, blending discipline with improvisation. He has performed across North America and Europe, recorded in studio and live settings, and is currently developing both a documentary film, music and several literary projects. His art is rooted in lived experience, travel, and an ongoing search for connection across cultures.

Artist Statement

My practice is built on rhythm—both in music and in life. Whether behind a drum kit, in front of a camera, or writing on the page, I use rhythm as a way to process and transform experience into art. Much of my work is autobiographical, reflecting on movement, resilience, and the ways people rebuild after hardship.

At Belgrade Art Studio, I am continuing work on a documentary that combines music, storytelling, and performance. I am interested in how cities carry their own rhythms and how these rhythms can shape and inspire new forms of expression. For me, art is both a survival tool and a way to connect with others, and this residency represents an opportunity to listen deeply, create freely, and contribute meaningfully to the community here in Belgrade.
