Artist statement

As a queer, trans* man, I am often silenced in daily life. Poetry is a way for me to reclaim my voice, and to speak beyond the limits of speech, both for myself and for others like me who have been silenced as well.
I am currently working to develop an experimental queer poetics, which examines the intersection between sexuality and cultural identity, and questions where in that intersection is there space for queer and trans* sexualities.
