Belgrade Art Studio is delighted to welcome German photographer and filmmaker Sebastian Franke.

Since May 2018 he has been working on a photo documentation about the Drag Scene in Eastern Europe. Through his series, Queens of Eastern Europe, Sebastian seeks to explore what the drag scene of the former Eastern Bloc looks like today. He aims to make a documentary about queer lives in Eastern Europe which is necessary to have a deeper understanding for the culture, society, and social circumstances in those countries.
